Final Exam study guide

1) First you click the server drive then you wait for the little screen to pop up okay it then got to my computer. When you get there go to the folder for Photo J and find your folder and open it.

2) We use blogger.com to post about what we've learned and done in class . It's for our assignments.

3) All you need is an oatmeal can, Two pieces of black construction tape and black tape to cover the top side of the lid and bottom. Also need to blackout the inside of the cans wall and floor. Once that's done you close it, cut about an inch square out of the can and open it again and fill the hole with a thin layer of Foil. Poke one hole through the foil, once that's done you can seal that foil strip off with a tape made flap. Once all these steps are done you have your pinhole camera.

4) Once you open the flap on your camera, light will flow into the hole you poked and will spread the image your aiming at on the paper, but can only do so for maybe 3 to 4 seconds or else the image will be too dark or will turn pitch black.

5a) Rule of thirds- Imagine that your image is divided into nine equal segments by two vertical and two horizontal lines, this adds balance and interest to your photo.

b) Balancing Elements- Balance the 'weight' of your subject by including another object of lesser importance to fill the space.

c) Leading Lines- A photo our eye is naturally drawn along lines.

d) Symmetry and Patterns (repetition)- They can make for very eye-catching compositions, particularly in situations where they are not expected. Another great way to use them is to break the symmetry or pattern in some way, introducing tension and a focal point to the scene.

e) Viewpoint- Consider photographing from high above, down at ground level, from the side, from the back, from a long way away, from very close up, and so on.

f) Background- Something in the foreground that doesn't distract or detract from the subject.

6) Action and emotion tell a story about the photo like uif a person is jumping and smiling, you can tell that they are happy.

7) A photo can tell a story by using emotions and actions, Like photographs at parties, weddings, graduation etc. All of these events tell a story when a photo is taken at that place.

9)
Alyssa and Bob after there wedding at the dinner table. Bob fell asleep on his wife.

While little Johnny aka lil squirt was using the toilot, he fell in cause he fell asleep and woke up crying when he relised he was in the toilot.

10) Just like a comic it shows the type of action the character is partaking.

11) Ethics should not be used in photojournalism due to the fact that they are very misleading. This is wrong when you are trying to tell a true story. In fashion photography this is used greatly to encourage the selling of products.

12) A portrait is a picture of someone else. While a self portrait is a picture of yourself and how you describe yourself.

13) A good portrait is in focus, has good exposure, and uses composition rules.

14) The major differences in newspaper and yearbook are: newspaper is for things going on recently around school and has things like interviews and articles in which you can read. While yearbook is main things that happen through out the whole year. There is more photographs involved in Yearbook than in newspaper.

1B) There isn't anything really focus in this picture. The window in the background ruined the photo and made it dark. What i was trying to do was to take a picture of the class learning from the student. But some didn't listen and paid attention to me taking the photo.

Abandoned Theme Parks

1)The amusement park that i would like to visit is the Takakanonuma Greenland, in Hobara, Japan. Because it really looks cool and scary. The rust on the roller coasters, gives the pictures that are taken there really good effects. The other thing that is really cool, is the fog, and it gives the photos really good effect along with the rust.

2)

3) Sea World, Schlitterbahn, Six flags fiesta Texas, House of torment, Hunted house

 4) fiesta texas

5) I think it would be fun document this place, because some of it is really old, like the rides, or the buildings, and the entrances when you are going to get on a ride are old. I think it would take somewhat of a lot of money to travel there, like for gas when you are driving there, and I would have to buy some new film for my camera, and I would need food, and to get into the park I would also need to bring the camera for the pictures, and maybe I would need to bring another camera, just in case some thing happen to the other one, and I would also need to bring a bag for the camera, and I would need to bring enough film for however many photos that i am going to take. With all of those things, I would be ready to go.
